The Siemens 6ES7972-0DA00-0AA0 is an active RS-485 bus terminating element for PROFIBUS DP networks. Unlike passive termination in standard bus connectors, it provides active termination powered independently by 24 V DC (20.4–28.8 V), allowing the last node on the bus to be powered off or removed without disrupting network communication. It supports transmission rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s, features IP20 protection, screw terminal connections.
